Basic install, then use the latest drivers from the ASUS site for the board chipset, audio. I'll let you know tomorrow morning as soon as I have it up and running. I even put the ram back in the asuus slots to try and fix it. All the audio drivers say they are working properly and the synthesizer on the volume control is registering the sound but no noise is coming out the speakers.
